Hi all FriendS, another bad news for us. It is with a heavy heart that we inform you that as of Jan 22th, Filesonic officially close the affiliate program and all functionality on FileSonic is now disabled. As you might know that S.O.P.A shut down megaupload and the popular filehosting services closed Their affiliate program. In response to that, anonymous took down several government and music websites. Here is some bad news for most poplar file hosting sites :

Fileserve removed it's affiliate page as of few minutes ago, because USA/FBI thinks that a legal part of their TOS is not enough to protect them, where users are responsible for their own content, and not filehost itself. Also, their thread disappeared from WJunction.

Who's next on FBI most wanted filehost list? Why all this, when SOPA/PIPA loose their support? All these could be done way back, if that is even legitimate, and by law. Smells fishy...

All sharing functionality on FileSonic is now disabled.

 

Filepost started suspending accounts with infringing material.

How to Get the Good Old Classic Chat Interface Back in Facebook?

Almost all Facebook users are complaining about new Chat sidebar which appears at the right-side inFacebook pages.

You can hide it by selecting "Hide Sidebar" option from the sidebar menu present at the sidebar bottom but you can't get the old chat interface back.

Today we are going to share an excellent extension for Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome and Opera web browser users which can bring back the good old classic chat back in Facebook.

"Facebook Chat Sidebar Disabler" is a free extension which helps you in disabling the new chat sidebar and return the good old normal chat window back.

Simply install it and open Facebook and click on chat link. You'll get the old chat back:

You can also toggle between old-style chat and new chat using "Use Old-Style Chat" option in chat menu.

To use video chat, just open a normal chat tab and click the video icon in title bar of the conversation.

Download “Chrome Remote Desktop” Extension to Remotely Access Computer through Chrome Browser

"Chrome Remote Desktop" is a new extension for Google Chrome browser users which is the first installment on a capability allowing users to remotely access another computer through the Chrome browser or a Chromebook.

The extension is currently under beta testing and the goal of this beta release is to demonstrate the core Chrome Remoting technology and get feedback from users.

This beta version enables users to share with or get access to another computer by providing a one-time authentication code. Don't worry! Access is given only to the specific person the user identifies for one time only, and the sharing session is fully secured.

One potential use of this version is the remote IT helpdesk case. The helpdesk can use the Chrome Remote Desktop BETA to help another user, while conversely a user can receive help by setting up a sharing session without leaving their desk.

Additional use cases such as being able to access your own computer remotely will be implemented in future versions.

Chrome Remote Desktop BETA is fully cross-platform, so you can connect any two computers that have a Chrome browser, including Windows, Linux, Mac and Chromebooks.

How to Remove NewFolder.exe Virus

NewFolder.exe is one of the most irritating virus that you will ever come across. It mainly infects through the pen drive and once it does, it will create exe files resembling the name of all your folders. If your folder has name “docs”, it will create the file ‘Docs.exe’ and similar files for all your folders. In the worst case, it can even disable your task manger, Folder Options, RegEdit etc.

It will have names like NewFolder.exe or regsvr.exe. Luckily, its remove tools are available . Download it from here. I tried the download tool and it was successfully able to remove the NewFolder.exe virus from my computer and even the USB Drive. After you download the ComboFix.exe, run it in safe mode. Some antivirus may detect the removal tool as avirus but it is perfectly safe. ComboFix will run for around 5-10 minutes, it will also create a restore point and might restart the computer if needed. Keep your USB drive connected to Computer if that is also infected. After ComboFix has finished executing, you will see the list of files, it has removed. In most cases, the virus should be gone from the PC along with the USB drive.

To try to remove it manually, here is what you can do

1. Delete the Autorun.inf and other suspicious exe files from your pen drive using this method.
2. Open Windows Task Scheduler or go to Control Panel –>Scheduled tasks and remove any suspicious task
3. Click on Start –> run and type –> ‘msconfig’. In the startup tab, find entries like “NewFolder.exe” or “regsvr.exe” and uncheck them.
4. Open Task Manager. In the processes tab, delete any process with the name of NewFolder.exe or regsvr.exe
5. Open Registry by typing ‘Regedit’ in the Run command box. Please take a backup of the registry before proceeding. Now search for “regsvr.exe” and “Newfolder.exe” . If you find any entries, delete them. Please delete the entries having the exact name as “regsvr.exe” and not anything else. If that is appended with other entries, delete its occurrence only and not the whole thing.
6. Restart the Computer
